Timothy Blackman – Wolves

Over the past few months I have been introduced to a number of great bands from New Zealand.

The most recent – Timothy Blackman. His style has been described as a mix between “old Devendra Banhart, but without quite so much of the weirdness, and the subtlety of The Microphones.” It’s a great album for changing seasons – and the end of summer.

I came across his latest album, Everyone Needs Something To Hold On To, after seeing the incredible video for Wolves. Filmed around Lofoten Island and Oslo, Norway by Alistair Cheyne, I just love the grade changes and graphic subtleties.
